Vacuum pump is a kind of equipment used to generate, improve and maintain vacuum in a closed space by various means. Vacuum pump can be defined as the equipment or equipment that uses mechanical, physical, chemical or physical chemical methods to extract air from the evacuated container to obtain vacuum. Any pump that uses mechanical movement (rolling or sliding) to obtain vacuum is called mechanical vacuum pump. After a period of use, the vacuum pump needs maintenance, and cleaning the vacuum pump is one of the things that needs to be done. Some vacuum pump users have raised a question. What are the precautions for vacuum pump disassembly and cleaning during vacuum pump maintenance?

During the use of the oil vacuum pump, some failures occur due to inadequate maintenance or other problems. The vacuum pump maintenance experts recommend the following steps:

1. Cut off the power supply and remove the vacuum pump from the vacuum system.

2. Discharge and collect the dirty oil by gravity or pressure method to avoid environmental pollution.

3. Remove the belt and pulley key (the two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump includes the belt).

4. Remove the low vacuum end, take down the rear end cover, and then take out the low vacuum rotor, rotary vane and spring.

5. Remove the front end cover and take out the high vacuum rotor, rotary vane, spring, etc.

6. Remove the mirror, exhaust valve, exhaust cap, etc.

7. Clean the removed metal parts with gasoline and dehydrate them with alcohol. Rubber parts can be dissolved in 15% sodium hydrofluoride water. Boil to remove oil. For parts with burrs or rust, use oil stone or metallographic abrasive paper to gently grind them to remove rust spots and burrs. The cleaned parts must be dried.

8. During assembly, first install the later stage, lift the spring and rotary vane and install them into the rotor, then put them into the inlet vacuum pump chamber, install the front end cover, then install the locating pin, and tighten the screws evenly and symmetrically. After assembly, ensure flexible and even rotation. After the front rotor and rear end cover are installed, install the exhaust valve (the exhaust valve plate should be close to the valve seat) and other parts, such as the gas ballast device.

Precautions for dismantling and cleaning of vacuum pump for maintenance of vacuum pump

1. Dismantle and clean the mechanical vacuum pump in the clean room. When disassembling and washing, pay attention to the original installation orientation, square and combination tightness of each component, and make records together to avoid wrong installation.

2. When taking out the rotary vane and rotor, be careful to hold the rotary vane tightly by hand. The reason is that the rotary vane is subject to a large spring tension force, and it simply flies out of the hand carelessly, hurting the edge or appearance of the rotary vane and cannot be used continuously.

3. The removed parts shall be separated and properly handled to avoid mutual collision or loss.

4. During installation, a small amount of vacuum pump oil shall be coated on the surface of rolling parts for smoothing. Please pay attention to the cleanliness. It is forbidden to drop iron filings, sand and dust into the vacuum pump. The installed vacuum pump should roll easily without uneven weight and blocking.

5. After the final assembly, vacuum pump oil from the filler hole to the oil mark.

6. Before startup, a small amount of vacuum pump oil shall be written into the air extraction port to make the vacuum pump full and smooth. (The vacuum pump maintenance manufacturer indicates that the reinstalled vacuum pump should be tested for several hours to investigate whether the application request has been reached.)
